E3 Expo 2011, Los Angeles

Wow, has it really been this long since I last posted something on the blog?!! I hope that this post will make up for the months we were "MIA", and hope that you have fun reading about our visit to the 2011 E3 Expo; the biggest playground for gamers!

Yet again, we were fortunate enough to visit E3 this year and boy we had a ton of fun. Without further ado, here is what we saw... Less text, lots of photos = this is the way to go!

SONY PLAYSTATION : Uncharted 3 - Drake's Deception

Uncharted 3 is the #1 game I cannot wait to play, and unfortunately I have to wait until Nov. 1st (*cry*). BUT! Drake was at the show to comfort me, haha! I heart Drake...Drake from the game, though!

It's up to you to decide how alike they look!
Nathan Drake

Elena Fisher

Play stations for the multiplayer version of Uncharted 3. The line was far too long for me to wait!
I will just wait to try and get into the beta at the end of the month.

As usual, the Playstation booth was grande and crowded!

The Playstation VITA : the new handheld due to release before the end of 2011. I only want this just so I can play Uncharted : Golden Abyss...did I mention yet that I love Uncharted? =P

Nintendo

Thanks to a friend, we were able to get in line to try out the new console "Wii U".

We played Battle Mii, Chase Mii, and Zelda in HD. It was definitely a new experience to be playing games with the extra mini screen. It takes a little getting used to the new controller, but it was lots of fun.

The new console can do HD, which will be a huge step up from the current Wii console!
Zelda : Skyward Sword

Capcom

Can I get the steps to my apartment building plastered with Tekken images!? I CAN-NOT wait for the Street Fighter x Tekken game. I need to refresh my Tekken moves until 2012!

Capcom booth. There were lots of people lining up to try out the SF x T game.
The game everyone at the Capcom booth was waiting to try out.
Resident Evil : Operation Raccoon City
Another Capcom game I want to play!

Break Time!
A much needed break time from all the fun, and luckily Klondike was there handing out free ice cream.
Did you hear me? "Free ice cream!" It was so yummy!

UBISOFT
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon : Future Soldier
Danny wants to get this game!
Just Dance 3
We are now tempted to buy this game...but that means we gotta buy an XBOX 360 and Kinect!

Disney Interactive Studios

This year Disney was giving out free coffee and tea!
This show couldn't get any better with free ice cream and free drinks!
The cafe
My drink
Drink choices : Danny had a Chai Tea Latte (Day 1), and a Kona Roast (Day 2).
I also had a Kona Roast. It was good!
Cafe & Lounging area. Everything was "Phineas & Ferb" themed.
Phineas and Ferb bushes

The Disney booth looked like a mini town. There were "rooms" that demo-ed different games, there was a mini park in the center of the booth, a bus stop and lots of benches scattered about. There were lots of exhausted people sitting at the benches enjoying their coffee hoping to get their energy back to walk the rest of the show!

Here was a kitchen
Here was a bedroom, promoting Cars 2
Here is the central park, with Disney cartoonists
I found this recipe (Walt's Chili) on the fridge from the kitchen! I gotta try it someday =)

KONAMI

Look! Coach Beiste (Dot Jones) was there promoting "glee Karaoke Revolution"

She was super nice and let me take a photo with her =)
She said, "Sure, Pumpkin!"

A very elaborate costume for Warhammer. Very cool!

SEGA

Cooking Mama 4 : Kitchen Magic

Mama!! My second favorite mama in the world!
I love her line, "Wondafou~!"
Scored some oven mitts! Maybe these will help me to cook "better than Mama!"

Bethesda
Loved the huge monster at their booth

Their schwag, mini rubber keychains

World of Tanks
Their schwag; beta key code and a mini tank toy

EA: The Sims Pets

Scored a t-shirt that goes well with the plumbob I got from last year's E3!
Maybe next year they'll give out pants, to complete my outfit?!

Well, in conclusion games that we are excited for : Uncharted 3, Uncharted : Golden Abyss, Tomb Raider, Street Fighter x Tekken, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Solider, Call of Duty MW3. We're a bit unsure of the Wii U, but I must have the PS Vita so I can play Uncharted...have I mentioned that "I heart Drake"! Hope we can visit E3 2012!

E3 Expo 2010, Los Angeles

Yet again, Danny and I attended the E3 Expo! One disappointment was not seeing Activision there, but we still had fun! Check out just a few of the booths we visited!

Disney Interactive Studios

They had 3 Disney artists there creating artwork for those who waited in line!

Live Performance from an amazing painter!

If you are interested in seeing the painting come to life, check out this video & enjoy the music!

TRON!!! Disney is getting ready for the highly anticipated movie release this Fall!

Some cool controllers based on Tron

They had a few artworks displayed. This one is Mickey in all bugs!

I think Mickey reduced a little too much?! He has no body!

Square Enix
Hurry! I must play FF XIV now!!!

Fun Photos!
For Your Information : That is Danny in Pac-Man's mouth!

It was zombie killing time!

Bioshock 2 statues

Wonder how many legos it took to make Hagrid!

I have been SIMSized! With a green plumbob above my head, I'm a happy Sim!!

There seemed to be a really strong presence of music/dance orientated games such as DefJam Rapstar, glee Karaoke Revolution, Dance Central, Just Dance 2, Dance Masters, Rock Band 3, etc. There was also the introduction of the Playstation move, which is equivalent to the Nintendo Wii-mote.

Here's a glimpse of the Konami DefJam Rapstar

I think the highlight of my visit to E3 this year was to see and experience the Nintendo 3DS. It still amazes me how you can play your games, watch movies, and take pictures in 3D, and not need glasses to view it in 3D! Can't wait for the new handheld to come out, but scared to know how much it'll be!
